With this print I decided to start out with a wood cut (as seen above) in the role of a silhouette to be print atop a monotype. below are various images showing the progress in marrying the wood block and monotype...
After much experimentation with color and opacity i print a series of base monoprints.
finally I brought the base print into the shop to stamp on the relief image.
